The Museum of Cycladic Art presents to the public, for the first time, “Balloon Venus Lespugue (Orange)” (2013–2019) by internationally acclaimed American artist Jeff Koons, from the Sonnabend Collection.
For this work, Jeff Koons draws inspiration from the prehistoric “Venus of Lespugue,” an ivory figurine carved from mammoth tusk dating back approximately 28,000 years, bridging the past with contemporary artistic creation.
