Consistently supporting culture, art, and contemporary trends, KRAFT Paints is participating as a product sponsor in the first exhibition of the famous and pioneering American artist in Greece.

Specifically, KRAFT Paints is participating as a "Product Sponsor" in the current exhibition at the Museum of Cycladic Art (Stathatos Mansion) titled "Cindy Sherman at Cycladic: Early Works." This exhibition is dedicated to the significant artist whose practice, spanning photography and performance, has profoundly influenced contemporary art.

The exhibition will run until November 4, 2024 (it opened in late May) and includes, among other things, 70 black-and-white photographs from the series Untitled Film Stills (1977 - 1980). Sherman began this series immediately after moving to New York in 1977 at the age of 23. Drawing inspiration from 1950s and 60s Hollywood, film noir, B movies, and independent European cinema, Sherman created images reminiscent of the style of shots used by film studios, while simultaneously addressing issues of gender roles, feminism, and female stereotypes in a penetrating manner. Additionally, the exhibition features around 30 color photographs from later periods, in which Sherman transforms into various invented characters that she captures in different settings, taking on all the roles required for the creation of her works herself.

As part of this sponsorship, KRAFT Paints happily provided the colors needed to properly prepare the exhibition and the spaces hosting approximately 100 photographic works by Sherman. Guided by the principle of contribution, the company that "talks" with color and "paints" the future consistently highlights initiatives that contribute to cultural progress, inclusion, and humanitarian values.
