KRAFT Paints supports the new mural by Leticia Mandragora in Korydallos

This year marks 2,500 years since the founding of Naples — a city born from myth and history. According to tradition, Neapolis was founded by Greek settlers on the very spot where the body of the mythical Siren Parthenope was washed ashore, after she threw herself into the sea in despair when Odysseus resisted her enchanting voice. Parthenope, a symbol of dreams, challenge, and melody, embodies the city’s deep connection with the sea, mythology, and its Greek origins.
To celebrate this important anniversary, the Italian-Spanish artist Leticia Mandragora created a large-scale mural on the wall of the 1st Primary School of Korydallos, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Athens, the Municipality of Korydallos, and the Awesome Athens Experiences team.
Born in Madrid, Leticia Mandragora moved to Naples at the age of 15, where she became fascinated by the art of graffiti. Her work is characterized by the dominant use of blue, which—as she explains—“is a special color that connects me to the spiritual world of the female figure. It allows me to expand the material perception of the face and elevate it to the emotional sphere. I leave only the eyes colored, because for me they are the window between spirit and reality.”
The creation of the mural was made possible through the sponsorship of KRAFT Paints, which provided its ‘4 Seasons’ 100% acrylic, high-quality exterior paint, specially designed to withstand extreme weather conditions (sun, rain), as well as air pollution, dirt, and dust accumulation. The product is easy to apply, offers excellent coverage, and ensures strong adhesion on most surfaces.
The artist selected beautiful shades focused on blue, creating a composition that radiates strength, emotion, and harmony within the urban landscape.
Through its “Cities of Color” program, KRAFT Paints consistently supports initiatives that promote art, culture, and creativity. By collaborating with Greek and international artists, the company has contributed to the creation of impressive murals across Greece, giving new life to public spaces and highlighting the importance of aesthetic and cultural enhancement in urban environments.
