General Information
Two-component solvent-based epoxy primer, specifically designed for horizontal or vertical metal structures and non-absorbent surfaces. It is distinguished by its excellent adhesion and high anti-corrosive protection. The product is used as a primer that promotes adhesion and provides anti-corrosive protection on iron or steel, as well as non-absorbent surfaces, both indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for application before epoxy or polyurethane products from the BODENGUARD series and ideal when enhanced protection is required, such as in coastal areas, industrial facilities, railings, silos, steel reinforcements etc.
How to Use
The substrate to be coated must be clean, stable, solid, and free from standing water, rust, moisture (less than 4%), dust, oils, tar, and any loose materials that could affect adhesion. Substrate preparation requires thorough sanding, brushing, or sandblasting, and effective removal of dust.
The components A and B are packaged in containers with a predetermined mixing ratio. Component B is added completely into the container of component A. Mix the two components for about 1-2 minutes manually or with a low-speed drill , ensuring the mixture is homogeneous. Avoid excessive mixing to prevent air entrapment. 3. APPLICATION Once properly prepared, apply apply one coat when used as an adhesion primer, and two coats for high corrosion protection, of the BODENGUARD AR-120 PRIMER, after diluting 5% to 10% by weight with KRAFT NITRO-2000. Within 24 hours, apply the final topcoat
Store the product at temperatures between 5°C and 35°C away from direct sunlight and rain, for a maximum of 24 months from the date of production. Keep containers tightly closed when not in use.
