KRAFT Paints supports the creation of an impressive mural by internationally renowned PichiAvo in Athens
In the heart of Athens, where history meets modern creation, a new mural transforms the urban landscape of Psirri into a vibrant canvas of art and expression. Behind this impressive work are the internationally recognized artists PichiAvo, who, with their signature aesthetic, bridge the world of classical art with the dynamism of street culture.
The artwork itself, titled "An Offering to Athens," is a contemporary visual narrative inspired by the city’s identity and mythology. At its center stands the goddess Athena and the symbolism of the olive tree from the famous myth of the contest for the city, captured through PichiAvo’s unique style. Standing over 15 meters tall, the mural serves as a modern "offering" to Athens, highlighting the timelessness of Greek culture and turning a spot in Psirri into a new iconic landmark for residents and visitors alike.
In this special project, KRAFT Paints plays a leading role, contributing substantially to the realization of the work through its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, "Cities of Color." With more than 200 liters of 4 Seasons exterior acrylic paint in a rich palette of shades, the company provided the artists with the colors to capture their vision with intensity, durability, and high aesthetic quality.
This specific acrylic paint was selected for its exceptional resistance to the demands of the urban environment, ensuring that the work will remain vibrant and imposing over time, just as befits a constantly evolving city.
The project was realized with the contribution of Awesome Athens Experiences, which handled the coordination, while the KRAFT Paints team was present at every stage of the creative process, closely following the transformation of another part of the city.
More than just an artistic intervention, this action is a statement: color has the power to change cities and our mood. Through "Cities of Color," KRAFT Paints invests in initiatives that enhance public spaces, strengthen contemporary artistic expression, and reintroduce Athens through a new, brighter, and more creative lens.
